Fishing the Snake River

The Snake River originates in Yellowstone National Park and then travels 1,078 miles before joining the Columbia River and flowing into the Pacifc Ocean.

Fishing the Upper Snake means your day will start at the Wilson Boat Ramp.

The river is very braided, meaning it forks around small and medium sized islands and rock bars. The braiding makes for great fishing in the riffles and side channels. Home to the Fine Spotted Cutthroat Trout.

You might see moose crossing the river, elk bugling, Osprey and Bald Eagles flying, and Bears foraging.
